On the evening of November 15, 2022 at Vietnam time, HAWA and the Vietnam Trade Office in Canada had a meeting to discuss and speed up the promotion of HawaExpo 2023 in the Canadian market as well as planning for the coordination of organizing the program to welcome the delegation of Canadian buyers to visit the fair.
Ms. Tran Thu Quynh, Commercial Counselor of Vietnam in the Canadian market said, “The furniture market in Canada this year is somewhat quieter than in previous years, but so far the market has also shown signs of gradual recovery. In the long run, Canada is still a potential market for Vietnam. Canadian businesses tend to look to foreign supply partners to produce for Canadian brands. With the internal strength of Vietnam’s furniture industry and taking advantages of the signed CPTPP agreement, Vietnam has advantages over other markets such as China, Malaysia, etc., in being favored by Canadian buyers when searching and connecting the supply chain for the needs of the Canadian market. At the same time, the Canadian government affirmed that they want to promote the export of wood materials to Vietnam, tighten the bilateral relationship to be sustainable and develop.
The HawaExpo fair has been widely promoted to Canadian buyers through the Trace Office’s information channels. Especially on the portal https://vntradetoca.org built by the Trade Office, this is one of the prestigious gateways to promote Vietnamese products and services to the Canadian market. Up to now, 3-4 businesses in Quebec have planned to attend the fair. At the same time, the Trade Office and HAWA will work closely to organize a delegation of Canadian buyers to attend the fair. In addition to meeting directly with exhibitors at the fair, HAWA will design supporting activities for Canadian buyers such as factory visits, trade connections with Vietnamese manufacturers… and create conditions for buyers to fully participate in various activities on the sidelines of the fair.
The Trade Office also introduced other international fairs and exhibitions in Canada on Architecture, Design, Interior… that take place every year in Canada such as Craft shows, Spring Home & Garden Show, BUILDEX Vancouver… These are very good opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to visit and exhibit to expand the sales market into Canada.
