Yesterday (March 4), the Opening Ceremony of HawaExpo 2026 was officially held, marking the commencement of the Ho Chi Minh City Export Furniture Fair 2026.
The event was honored by the distinguished presence of:
Mr. Lê Minh Hoan – Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly;
Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Trị – Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment;
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Được – Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee;
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Dũng – Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council;
Mr. Hà Công Tuấn – Former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment;
Ms. Anne Benjaminson – Deputy Consul General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City;
Mr. Bùi Tá Hoàng Vũ – Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade;
Ms. Alessandra Tognonato – Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City
Mr. Scott James – Consul General of New Zealand in Ho Chi Minh City
along with leaders of governmental agencies, diplomatic missions, industry associations, and representatives from domestic and international media organizations.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Được emphasized:
“With its creative exhibition space and diverse range of activities, the Ho Chi Minh City Export Furniture Fair 2026 continues to affirm its position as a prestigious international trade hub for Vietnam’s wood and furniture industry. The fair serves as a vital trade promotion platform, enabling enterprises to showcase their manufacturing capabilities, innovative products, and advanced technologies, while fostering effective connections with major partners both domestically and internationally-thereby strengthening their global position and expanding international cooperation.”
HawaExpo 2026 will take place from March 4-7, 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) and is open free of charge to all visitors and trade participants for networking and business engagement.
