CRITICAL UPDATES (2025-2026): Pursuant to Resolutions No. 127/NQ-CP and No. 389/NQ-CP, Vietnam now grants 90-day E-visas to all countries and has extended unilateral visa waivers to 45 days for strategic partners.
1. VISA EXEMPTION (NO APPLICATION REQUIRED)
Simply present your passport (min. 6 months validity & 02 blank pages) at the immigration counter.

Travel Tip: The “30-day gap” rule is abolished. You may exit and re-enter Vietnam immediately to trigger a new exemption stay.
2. ELECTRONIC VISA (E-VISA)
The standard method for visitors staying up to 90 days or those not on the exemption list.
- Processing Time: 3-5 working days. (Apply at least 2 weeks before your trip to be safe).
- Entry Points: Accepted at 83 international checkpoints. Note: You must enter via the exact checkpoint listed on your approved E-visa.

Expert Guide: Avoiding E-visa Rejections:
- Name Format: Enter your full name exactly as it appears in the ICAO machine-readable line at the bottom of your passport.
- Purpose of Entry: Select “Business Activities” for trade show attendance.
- Payment: $25 (Single) / $50 (Multiple entry). Non-refundable.
3. BUSINESS VISA (DN1) & INVITATION LETTERS
- Short-Term: A standard 90-day E-visa is sufficient for most buyers attending HawaExpo.
- Formal Business Visa (DN1): Required for long-term stays or if specifically requested by your local embassy.
